Built-in and custom stadiums

Preview, validate, import and apply Ball2D stadiums without changing the game rules blindly.

Preview before playing

The Stadiums panel includes built-in layouts and a source editor. Use the preview and validation feedback to inspect a pitch before applying it. A stadium can change walls, goals, discs and the space available to players.

A file that parses successfully can still have an unusual or difficult layout. Check goal openings, player spawn positions and clearance around the ball in practice before using it with friends.

Import and export

Import a compatible stadium file or edit its source in the panel. Imports are limited to 256 KB. Validation errors stay visible so you can correct the source; importing a file is not the same as applying it to the active game.

Export downloads a stadium JSON file to your device. Keep your own copy of custom work. Ball2D does not provide an account-based cloud stadium library. File names and stadium source text are not included in optional analytics.

Use a stadium online

Only room administrators can request a stadium replacement. The host validates and applies the change, then distributes the new state to connected players. Stop the match first; replacing the pitch changes the active simulation.

Custom stadiums may not behave exactly like maps made for other football games. Use the in-game validator and test the result instead of assuming every external format or feature is supported.
