Find, host and join a room

Browse Ball2D rooms, use invite links, set passwords and understand host responsibilities.

Find a game

The Rooms view lists public rooms with their player counts, capacity, lock status and region. Search filters room names locally. Filters let you include or exclude locked, full and empty rooms; a room can disappear from the list as its availability changes.

Select a room and choose Join. Locked rooms require the password from their host. Room search is a directory filter, not a ranked matchmaking queue: Ball2D does not automatically promise an opponent or assign a skill rating.

Host with friends

Choose Create room, set a room name and capacity, and optionally add a password or make the room private. Share the generated invite link after the room opens. A private room is omitted from the public directory; a password adds a separate admission check.

Keep the host browser open and connected. The host runs the authoritative simulation and peers connect to it directly. Closing or suspending the host can interrupt the session. A room is temporary, not a permanent hosted server.

Invitations and administration

Use the copy-invite control to share a short /r/ link. The Join dialog also accepts a room code. Treat private invitations and passwords as private; the game does not publish them in search pages or analytics.

Administrators manage teams, room settings and stadium changes. Stop the current match before replacing an online stadium. Do not share host credentials or paste them into public chat.
