THE PLAYBOOK
Record, save and watch replays
Save Ball2D matches locally, open replay files and understand compatibility and recording limits.
Record a session
The host or local practice player can choose Record replay and then Save replay. Ball2D prepares a downloadable .ball2drep file with simulation checkpoints. Changing the stadium or leaving a recording session also saves the recording.
The download goes to your device. A successful export means the browser download was initiated; it does not mean the file was uploaded, shared or saved to a cloud account. Keep the downloaded file if you want to watch it later.
Open and inspect
Choose Replays and select a local replay file. Files larger than 32 MB are rejected. After loading, use the playback controls to pause, resume and seek. The player verifies checkpoint integrity during playback.
Replay playback is a viewing session, not a live multiplayer match. Seeking or replaying the same match does not create new gameplay starts in optional analytics.
Compatibility and privacy
Replay files depend on a compatible simulation engine. Ball2D retains versioned replay engines where available, but an unsupported or damaged file can fail to load. Keep the original file when reporting a compatibility problem.
Recordings can contain player names and match activity. Review a file before sharing it with others. The replay file, its name and player names are not sent to Google Analytics.
